James "Jaz" Band | |
![]() | Jaz is the first character to be created. He was created, actually, when MC was only a vague conception. He is probably the city's foremost prankster, and has never been caught. He's like McCavity, the mystery cat, from the poem by T.S. Elliot. (I think that's how it's spelt.) "He always has an alibi/and one or two to spare..." 12 years old. |
Nicole "I got your cutie right here, bub." Miller
![]() | Nicole was the second character to be conceived. She took a lot longer to perfect than Jaz, since Jaz had his distinctive hairstyle from the beginning. I didn't intend Nicole to be Asian, though she doesn't look it, it just happened. And "Nicole Miller" seemed like the right name for her. She hates anyone who's sexist, racist or bigoted. Hence her nickname. She displays hints of insecurity, hidden behind a steel mantle... 14 years old. |
Michael "Where's the Loo?" James
![]() | This British import was adopted by his current family by accident. Dad signed the wrong form and...anyway, he maintains a fierce love for Fish 'n Chips, curly fries, and Shine MK. Coming from a country where the rain falls 200 days out of the year, he was suprised to find himself living in a city where the sun actually shone for weeks on end. Weeks! 16 years. |
Jeff "Dad" Carter/ Helen "Mom" Bacall
![]() ![]() | They can have children, though they haven't yet. That's why the 4 which they have are adopted. Jeff's named after my father, Geoff Wood. He's a typical father. Nice, and he tried to understand what his children are going through. He is so out of his depth. My mother is named Heather, but I didn't want two chars named after real people. Thus we have Helen, a web developer at eighthPower Inc. This actually makes here the rare mother who is more Web savvy than her Kids. The Irony. Age undisclosed. |
Jonathan "Jonn" Wood | |
![]() | This is me. Jonathan. The live-in cartoonist. Added on a whim. And it's two Ns, not HN. Get it right. I shortened Jonathan and added an extra N. There are some advantages to having your cartoonist in the same house as you. If you want a raise, for instance, he can't get away. Really, though, I added him because I wanted to experience all this technology firsthand. In spirit, anyway. 16 years. |
